In an age of online booking platforms and artificial intelligence trip planners, New England travellers have made one thing clear — there is still no substitute for an experienced travel agent.
New England Travel has been voted Best Travel Agency in this year’s Best in the New England awards, with customers praising the team’s expertise, personalised service and invaluable support when travel plans don’t go to plan.
Voters said the business offered something online booking sites simply couldn’t: genuine relationships built on experience and trust.
Mary said the team travelled extensively themselves, allowing them to better understand destinations and tailor holidays to each client’s needs.
“They get to know their clients and their needs,” she said.
Jason praised the agency’s friendly and knowledgeable staff, saying they consistently delivered “amazing holidays” through attentive service and expert advice.
While booking a holiday online has never been easier, several voters said the real value of a travel agent becomes apparent when something unexpected happens.
Susan said New England Travel’s product knowledge and emergency assistance set the business apart.
“They’re able to help when disasters happen with great emergency help,” she said.
One voter said that while almost everything could now be booked online, international travel in particular still benefited enormously from professional advice.
“Working with a travel agent means someone can suggest options, help you navigate visas and other requirements, and tailor an itinerary to suit you,” Dave wrote.
“And when something goes wrong, being able to call someone you know and trust for help is a huge benefit, and New England Travel are great at that.”
