D&J Assisted Technology takes the first Best IT Service title

Inverell-based D&J Assisted Technology has been crowned the New England’s Best IT Service in Best in the New England 2026, with customers praising the business for making technology accessible, affordable and stress-free.

The win is the first for Inverell in this year’s BITNE, and continues a remarkable journey for the relatively new business, which has built a loyal following by taking a different approach to IT support. Rather than expecting customers to understand complex technical jargon, owners Justin and David focus on explaining problems in plain English and finding practical solutions that work for homes and businesses alike.

That customer-first philosophy was reflected throughout the voting.

Debbie said one of the business’s greatest strengths was its ability to explain technical issues in a way customers could understand.

“Justin and David are very good at what they do,” she said.

“They explain things so you understand what they did.”

Neil praised the team’s prompt service and fair pricing.

“Their service is fast, rates are reasonable and nothing is a drama,” he said.

“These guys do a fantastic job.”

Many voters highlighted the personalised service that has become the hallmark of the Inverell business.

Lyn said the team combined years of experience with friendly service and the convenience of coming directly to customers, while Lilly said they were always easy to contact and “happy to help with any issues,” adding they had solved multiple technology problems for her.

Adam said the pair were always willing to “go above and beyond” for customers and brought outstanding technical knowledge to every job.

Others said it was the team’s ability to communicate that truly set them apart.

Brooke described Justin and David as “a very professional pair” whose knowledge of the technology industry was second to none.

“They have amazing customer service and can talk through solutions with ease and make recommendations to suit any job requirements,” she said.

Alice also praised their communication and expertise, while Kaine said they were “very kind and helpful people” who worked efficiently and effectively.

Representatives from Inverell Legacy also nominated the business, describing Justin and David as “the best,” saying they were knowledgeable, friendly and always willing to help.

The award recognises more than technical expertise. Across the nominations, customers repeatedly highlighted honesty, patience and a genuine desire to help people understand the technology they rely on every day.

After learning of the win, the team thanked the community for its support.

“Thank you to all that voted, it means a lot to us,” they said.

“We are feeling loved and we appreciate everyone’s support.”
