Anytime Fitness Armidale has been crowned the Best Gym in the New England, with members praising not only its state-of-the-art facilities but the welcoming community that has turned the club into much more than a place to work out.
The Armidale gym claimed this year’s title after receiving an overwhelming number of nominations highlighting its friendly culture, knowledgeable staff and ongoing investment in new equipment.
While many gyms focus on machines, members said it was the people who made Anytime Fitness Armidale stand out.
“The vibes are immaculate,” Sontae said. “The staff are beyond friendly and make the gym feel incredibly safe to be in. I live an hour away and still travel just for this gym.”
Mia said the club had created “the perfect place for everyone, no matter the fitness level or what you’re training for.”
“The staff are always there to help, the gym is kept clean and the atmosphere is exactly what you want,” she said.
“The members who attend are so welcoming and the gym is constantly upgrading to ensure members are getting the best of the best.”
That commitment to improvement appeared throughout the nominations.
Gemma said the team was “constantly putting the time and effort into improving the club with new machines” and always focused on member satisfaction.
Others highlighted the extensive range of equipment, with Jimmy simply nominating the gym because it had “the biggest range” backed by “amazing staff”.
Alexa described it as her favourite gym she had ever trained at.
“The staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful,” she said. “The equipment is very clean, well maintained and up to date.”
The atmosphere was another recurring theme.
Nathan described it as “such a welcoming environment”, while Brooke praised the “friendly staff, always clean, warm and welcoming” environment that caters for members of all skill levels.
For Claudia, it was the people who made the biggest difference.
“Jimmy, Brock and Tom make going to the gym the most enjoyable part of my day,” she said. “No matter who you speak to, you’ll receive the utmost support.”
Georgia agreed, saying the team “go above and beyond for members” and had created an atmosphere “better than I could ever articulate.”
The gym’s reputation has also spread well beyond Armidale.
Srdjan, who said he had trained at numerous Anytime Fitness clubs around Australia, believed the Armidale branch stood above the rest.
“Armidale takes the cake in what they offer equipment-wise as well as guidance and encouragement,” he said. “A+ business.”
The team at Anytime Fitness Armidale said winning an award decided by the community made the recognition especially meaningful.
“We are extremely proud and grateful to announce that Anytime Fitness Armidale has been voted Best Gym in the New England,” the team said.
“This is an incredible honour and something our whole team is very proud of.
“A massive thank you to every single person who voted for us, supports us, trains with us and continues to be part of our amazing gym community. Awards like this don’t happen without loyal members, passionate staff and a community that believes in what we do.”
The team said the club had always aimed to create more than just a gym.
“We want to provide a place where people feel welcome, supported, motivated and proud to be part of something bigger.”
They said being voted the region’s best gym by the community was an honour they did not take lightly.
“This award means so much because it was voted by the community, and we are beyond grateful for the recognition.
“Thank you, New England. Thank you, Armidale.”
“We’ll continue to work hard, continue to improve, and continue to provide the best training environment possible.”
