Uralla Vet Clinic takes top honours as New England’s best vets

Uralla Vet Clinic has claimed the title of Best Vets in Best in the New England 2026, taking over the crown from New England Veterinary Services after receiving an outpouring of support from grateful clients across the region.

The clinic, led by veterinarian Dr Jo and her dedicated team, attracted dozens of heartfelt nominations from pet owners and livestock producers, with many praising the staff’s compassion, professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond for the animals in their care.

Tom said the team’s commitment was second to none.

“Jo and her team are perhaps the most dedicated and servant-hearted vets I have ever come across,” he said.

“They pour themselves out, day and night, to see pets and livestock be cared for.”

Pauline described the clinic as “first rate”, saying the team was knowledgeable, considerate and caring.

“They are extremely trustworthy and even their after-hours care is first class when an animal is in need,” she said.

Oliva said they go above and beyond.

“Their fear-free animal handling, and going above and beyond to support every individual animal to their own personal needs. As well as continual education to always be the best for our fur baby’s.”

For Damien, the reason for voting was simple.

“They always look after our pups with care,” he said.

Charlie said Uralla Vet Clinic had become an invaluable part of the community thanks to the team’s willingness to tackle any challenge.

“Jo and the team at Uralla Vet Clinic are exceptional. They will go out of their way to ensure any situation is dealt with,” he said.

“They are a huge asset for the area.”

One of the most moving nominations came from Nerida, whose family nearly lost their 12-year-old dog to a snake bite over Christmas.

She said Dr Jo cared for their dog every day throughout the festive season, sacrificing time with her own family to treat sick and injured animals.

“We will always be in her debt,” she said.

“Very worthy to be top vet.”

After being announced as this year’s winner, the clinic thanked the community for its support.

“Thank you to everyone who voted for us,” the team said.

“We are very lucky to have fantastic vet clinics in our region, but we couldn’t be more proud of our awesome team here.”
