Tamworth’s only caravan dealer opens doors at bigger new home

A locally owned caravan and trailer business has moved to a new, larger Tamworth premises, capping off a period of rapid growth.

Tow World, run by Troy and Gayle Black, has relocated to 13–17 Lockheed Street and is inviting the community to come through from 9am to 1pm on Saturday 4 July for a grand opening. The Men’s Shed will be running a BBQ, with food vans, product displays and showcases also on offer.

The Blacks took over Tow World after a long-standing history of the business in the Tamworth region, steering it into what Gayle describes as an exciting new era. Both passionate caravanners themselves, the couple set about restoring it as a one-stop destination for caravans, trailers and towing solutions — including bringing a new caravan dealership back to Tamworth for the first time in years, giving locals access to new models without travelling long distances.

“We’re incredibly excited about what this means for Tamworth and the wider district,” Ms Black said.

“We’ve worked really hard to build something that supports local people and keeps these services available right here in Tamworth.”

“We’re passionate about creating a welcoming and trustworthy experience for every customer. We understand that buying a caravan, trailer or towing product is often a big decision, and we take pride in helping customers feel informed, supported and confident throughout the process.”

The move to Lockheed Street gives the business significantly more room to expand. Along with a larger caravan and trailer display area, Tow World is growing its Kayo dirt bike range, expanding its workshop for small repairs and servicing, and adding secure storage for caravans, boats, horse floats and large trailers at the rear of the property.

The business stocks leading brands including Dometic, Camec, Aussie Traveller and Coast to Coast RV, and serves a wide customer base — from local tradies and farmers to grey nomads and travelling families. The workshop regularly assists travellers passing through the region with emergency repairs, from damaged axles to bearing issues.

Among the new caravans available from TowWorld is the X Series RV X Terra, a 19-foot toy hauler caravan that has been in hot demand as more people look for solar and battery powered alternatives. Designed to carry dirt bikes, ATVs or kayaks via a rear drop-down ramp that doubles as a sun deck, it combines off-road capability with a fully appointed interior including an ensuite, queen bed, quad bunks, dual heating and cooling, and a gasless kitchen setup.

“Many of our customers are farmers, shooters, and bike riders, and the X Terra really does suit many different needs,” Ms Black said.

Among the new toys on display at the grand opening will be the brand-new KAYO S350 Buggy, and an expanded range of trailers that will be on display in their new yard.

“This new location gives us the space to grow and offer so much more for our customers, whether it’s caravans, trailers, dirt bikes, servicing or secure storage.”

The grand opening is at 13–17 Lockheed Street, Tamworth, on Saturday 4 July from 9am to 1pm. For more information, visit towworld.com.au or call 6762 1033.
