A man has died after a three-vehicle crash on the Kamilaroi Highway, west of Narrabri.
Emergency services were called to the highway about 20 kilometres west of Narrabri about 10 am on Tuesday following reports of a crash involving a truck, a caravan and a ute.
Police were told the truck collided with the caravan before crashing into the ute.
The truck driver died at the scene before he could be treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics. He has not yet been formally identified.
The occupants of the ute and the caravan were not injured.
Officers from Oxley Police District established a crime scene and have begun an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
