Businesses, employers and employees across the New England North West are being encouraged to enter the 2026 New England North West Business Awards before entries close on 6 July.

Business NSW New England North West Regional Director Stephanie Cameron said the awards recognised the people, businesses and organisations helping drive the region’s economy.

“Every business has a story worth telling,” Cameron said.

“The Awards provide an opportunity to step back and reflect on what has been achieved, whether that’s growth, innovation, leadership, customer service, supporting local employment or overcoming challenges.”

Open to businesses of all sizes and industries, the awards recognise excellence across 21 categories, with opportunities for both established organisations and emerging businesses.

Alongside established categories such as Outstanding Employee, Employer of Choice and Small Business, businesses are also encouraged to consider awards recognising innovation, diversity and inclusion, and international business success.

“Businesses often underestimate the significance of what they’re doing,” Cameron said.

“Innovation isn’t limited to technology companies, diversity and inclusion can take many forms, and international business success is increasingly being achieved by regional businesses exporting products and services around the world.”

Cameron said many businesses were already undertaking work that aligned with award categories without recognising their achievements.

“We encourage businesses not to rule themselves out. If you have a story of progress, improvement or impact, there is likely a category that reflects your success.”

She said the awards also provided an opportunity for businesses to benchmark themselves against industry peers and recognise the teams behind their success.

“Entering the Awards can be a valuable exercise for any business.”

“It provides an opportunity to assess your journey, highlight your successes and recognise the people who contribute to that success every day.”

Supported by major partner Joblink Plus, the awards are independently judged by an experienced panel. Finalists will be announced on 25 August, with winners revealed at the gala dinner on 25 September at Club Quirindi in the Liverpool Plains.

Last year’s NSW Business of the Year, Walcha Coffee, represented the New England North West at the state awards, highlighting the strength of businesses across the region.

Entries are free for Business NSW members and close on 6 July 2026.
