Weswal Gallery is showing last year’s winner of the Interior Art Prize, Lucy O’Doherty, during June.

Quiet Rooms, Wide Water is an exhibition by Lucy O’Doherty exploring domestic spaces and vast bodies of water through soft pastels and oils on linen. Her restrained, luminous style uses subtle tonal shifts to evoke atmosphere, stillness, and reflection. The artworks deeply examine internal and external light, using window frames as key boundaries to contrast intimate interiors with the dramatic world outside.
