Four people have been charged with drug and weapons offences after police raided a home in Armidale on Friday, allegedly seizing methamphetamine, cannabis, a drug ledger and a zombie knife.
The Western Region Operations Support Group began investigating drug supply and firearms offences in the Armidale area in August, before executing a search warrant at a home on Fayle Avenue about 6am on Friday, 28 August.
Police allege they located and seized 10 grams of methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of $1,500, along with cannabis, 10mg of diazepam, a drug ledger, drug supply paraphernalia, a zombie knife, three star knives and five mobile phones.
Four people were arrested at the address, a 28-year-old man, a 64-year-old man, an 18-year-old woman and a 64-year-old woman, and taken to Armidale Police Station.
The 28-year-old man was charged with seven offences, including supplying a prohibited drug greater than indictable but less than commercial quantity, two counts of possessing a prohibited drug, two counts of possessing or using a prohibited weapon without a permit, possessing or attempting to possess a prescribed restricted substance, and failing to comply with a digital evidence access order. He was refused bail and is due to appear before Armidale Local Court on Monday, 14 September.
The 64-year-old man and 64-year-old woman were each charged with supplying a prohibited drug greater than small but less than or equal to indictable quantity, and possessing a prohibited drug. They were granted strict conditional bail to appear before Armidale Local Court on Monday, 19 October.
The 18-year-old woman was charged with possessing a prohibited drug and breach of bail, and was refused bail.
