Motorists are advised to expect increased traffic in and around Gunnedah next week during the annual AgQuip 2026 field days.
AgQuip will be held eight kilometres west of Gunnedah on Black Jack Road from Tuesday 18 August to Thursday 20 August. More information is available at acmruralevents.com.au/agquip/home.
Traffic control measures and reduced speed limits will be in place on the Oxley and Kamilaroi highways throughout the three-day event.
Motorists should plan ahead, allow extra travel time and follow the directions of traffic controllers.
Local road closures and detours will also be in place. Motorists should follow signage and directions from traffic controllers.
Oversize and/or overmass vehicle operators are encouraged to avoid the area during the morning and evening periods when event traffic is expected to be at its heaviest.
