Police are appealing for information after a break-and-enter at Wee Waa.
Officers from Oxley Police District were called to a unit on Boundary Street about 12:20 am on Friday, 31 July, following reports of a break-and-enter.
Police were told a resident, a man in his 40s, woke to find a man inside the unit before the intruder fled on foot. Several sets of car keys were reported stolen.
The resident chased the man outside, where the alleged intruder is alleged to have dropped a bladed object in a nearby backyard. Police seized the item.
A crime scene was established and inquiries are continuing.
