Platinum-selling artist and ARIA Award winner Meg Washington will bring her Natural Beauty Tour to Gunnedah in May, performing an intimate solo concert at The Civic.
Best known to many as the voice of Calypso in the hit television series Bluey, Washington has built a career spanning jazz, pop, folk and musical theatre. She is currently touring nationally alongside the release of the musical comedy The Deb, starring Rebel Wilson, for which she wrote the songs.

The tour marks a return to a stripped-back format, with Washington performing solo at the piano. Each show is shaped in the moment, with setlists changing from night to night. Drawing on a catalogue of five albums, performances move between well-known material and more intimate moments, guided by the connection between artist and audience.
“I grew up singing in jazz clubs, so these intimate solo shows feel so right to me,” she said. “I love to improvise, and these shows are the perfect chance.”
Joining the bill is singer-songwriter Jo Davie, whose work blends heartfelt storytelling with a versatile, contemporary sound. A recent Sydney Festival performer, she is building a growing following across the Australian music scene.
Gunnedah Conservatorium director Rebecca Ryan said the concert would appeal to a broad audience.
“Meg is truly the artist of the moment in Australia. Whether people know her from Bluey, her songwriting for film and television, or her own music, she’s connecting with audiences in so many different ways right now. To experience her live, in such an intimate setting, is going to be something truly special.”
