Tamworth netballers secure funding boost

Netballers in Tamworth will benefit from increased support this season after Greater Bank renewed its backing of the sport.

Tamworth Netball Association (TNA) enjoyed a strong 2025 campaign, with nearly 1,800 members and its 13-years team finishing runners-up in Division 3 at the NSW State Titles.

The association is aiming to build on that success, with the funding set to help cover costs and provide equipment for junior representative teams.

TNA sponsorship coordinator Bella Rasche said the support would create more opportunities for players in 2026.

“We are incredibly thankful for the partnership with Greater Bank that will allow our association to give financial support to our junior representative teams, who had an outstanding season last year,” Rasche said.

“With this funding we will be able to keep the costs down and provide necessary equipment to help ensure every player has the opportunity to represent TNA in 2026.”

Greater Bank Tamworth branch manager Anna Smith said the bank was proud to continue its support.

“Greater Bank are really proud to continue our support of Tamworth Netball Association for the 2026 season and help them bring the local community together through inclusive sporting opportunities,” Smith said.

“Netball is a sport where everyone is welcome to have a go, no matter the level and encourages fun, friendships, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle.”

“We wish everyone the best of luck for the season ahead and see everyone back out on the court.”
