The eyes of the international beef industry will turn to Guyra on Monday, May 5, when Bald Blair Angus welcomes over 250 delegates from around the world as part of the 2025 World Angus Forum.
Guyra’s rich agricultural heritage will be in the spotlight on Monday, 5 May, as over 250 national and international delegates from the 2025 World Angus Forum visit the historic Bald Blair Angus property.
The event is a chance for the local community to showcase its role in Australia’s leading beef industry, with Bald Blair — a fourth-generation, family-owned stud — hosting guests on their 127-year-old Angus cattle farm.
The day will highlight not just the quality Angus genetics of Bald Blair, but also the strong community ties that define the New England region.
Local schools, Bald Blair Public School P & C and Guyra Central School P & C volunteers, will provide morning tea, while visitors will enjoy a working dog display by local stockman Tom Cleaver, and demonstrations of cutting-edge cattle management technology.
Stud Principal Sam White said the visit is a proud moment for the district.
“It’s a great opportunity to show the world what makes Guyra and the New England such a strong agricultural region — it’s not just the cattle, it’s the people, the skills, and the community behind them.”
