Drivers in South Tamworth face lane closures and a reduced speed limit on Goonoo Goonoo Road for about a week while crews clean out large concrete drains.
Transport for NSW said the work starts from Monday, 26 October, and is expected to take one week, weather permitting. Work hours are 7am to 5pm on weekdays.
Crews will also clear vegetation near Barnes Gully and inspect the large drains below the road.
Changed traffic conditions will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists. They include lane closures, stop/slow arrangements, and a reduced 40 km/h speed limit.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
Transport for NSW thanked motorists for their patience.
