A man has died at a property near Drake after desperate efforts to revive him at a bush doof failed.
The 53-year-old Nimbin man was found unresponsive at the Leslie Creek Road property, on the eastern edge of the Tenterfield LGA and about an hour west of Casino, shortly before emergency services were called at 11.30pm on Saturday, October 10.
Bystanders rushed to give first aid before Richmond Police District officers took over CPR. NSW Ambulance paramedics then arrived and continued attempts to save him, but he could not be revived.
The man was understood to be among a group attending a bush doof – an outdoor party often featuring electronic music and camping, usually on remote properties.
Police established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
