Liverpool Plains Shire Council is calling on local community groups and organisations to apply for grants of up to $2,000 to help bring community projects to life.
Applications are now open for Council’s 2026-27 Community Grants Program, which supports not-for-profit organisations and community groups delivering projects that benefit communities across the shire.
Liverpool Plains Shire Mayor Ken Cudmore said the program continued to support grassroots initiatives that strengthened the community.
“Our annual Community Grants Program is a key investment in the community, supporting initiatives that create social, cultural and environmental benefits and help build a stronger, more connected community,” Cudmore said.
“Each year we see incredible ideas come forward from our community, including projects that strengthen connections, support wellbeing and create opportunities for people to come together,” he said.
“We encourage all local community groups and organisations to take advantage of this opportunity. It’s a great chance to tick off a wish list item for your group and to help turn great ideas into projects that benefit our whole community.”
Successful projects must be completed within 12 months of funding being awarded, with priority given to applicants that did not receive funding through Council’s 2025-26 Community Grants Program.
Applications close on 30 September 2026.
