Driver killed in single-vehicle crash at Oxley Vale

A man has died after a single-vehicle crash in the state’s west.

Emergency services were called to Manilla Road at Oxley Vale about 3 pm on Friday, July 24, following reports of a crash.

Police attached to Oxley Police District attended and found a ute had left the road and crashed into a tree, trapping the driver and a dog.

The driver died at the scene and is yet to be formally identified.

The dog was freed from the vehicle and taken to a veterinarian for treatment.

A crime scene has been established and investigations into the circumstances of the crash are under way.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
