Survey: How are economic conditions affecting visitor behaviour in Moree?

Tourism Moree is calling on local businesses and event organisers to share how current economic conditions are affecting visitation across the Moree Plains and the broader community.

As tourism plays a vital role in supporting local jobs, events, accommodation providers, cafes, retailers and community services, understanding visitor behaviour is important to the region’s economic future.

“We are particularly interested in hearing whether businesses and event organisers have noticed any changes in bookings, visitor numbers, event attendance, length of stay or visitor spending habits in recent months. Some operators may be seeing shorter stays, more last-minute bookings or changes in travel patterns, while others may be experiencing strong visitation despite broader economic pressures.”

Tourism Moree says feedback from operators will help identify emerging trends and support future planning, advocacy and tourism initiatives that benefit the entire community.

Whether your business has experienced challenges, growth or changing visitor patterns, operators are encouraged to complete the Tourism Business Confidence Survey. The more information gathered, the better equipped the region will be to strengthen tourism outcomes and support the local economy.
