Glen Innes Service NSW Centre refreshed

Northern Tablelands residents can now access NSW Government services at an upgraded Glen Innes Service NSW Centre following a full refurbishment aimed at improving the customer experience.

Minister for Customer Service and Digital Government Jihad Dib said the Glen Innes centre played an important role in the local community.

“The Glen Innes Service Centre plays an important role in the local community. The upgrade ensures it remains an accessible, safe and welcoming place to deliver essential services to the region,” Dib said.

The refurbished centre features a redesigned layout, including a new customer meeting room, additional seating, an extra service counter and a Knowledge Test kiosk to meet growing demand. New flooring has also been installed throughout the centre.

The upgrades are expected to improve access to services including driver testing, driver licence applications, vehicle registration, and birth, death and marriage certificates.

Service NSW Managing Director Greg Wells said the upgraded facilities would improve access for customers while also benefiting staff.

“Customers will be able to access driver testing, vehicle registration and birth, death and marriage certificate applications with ease,” Wells said.

“Alongside benefits to customers, the improved facilities create a better working environment for staff, supporting their wellbeing.”

Located at Mackenzie Mall, 217 Grey Street, Glen Innes, the centre is the 34th Service NSW site to be refurbished in the past three years.

More than 20,000 customer visits were recorded at the centre last year, with a customer satisfaction rating of 98.5 per cent.

Dib said the community would benefit from the improvements.

“I know the community will enjoy the improved Glen Innes Service Centre and I encourage them to come in for a visit.”

Service NSW said it regularly reviews the condition and accessibility of its centres to ensure they remain welcoming and inclusive, while identifying opportunities to improve services and respond to community needs.

The Glen Innes Service NSW Centre is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm. More information is available on the Service NSW website.
