Another major pipe burst in Uralla

A burst pipe on Bridget Street in Uralla, near the intersection with Rowan Avenue, is causing significant disruption.

Uralla Shire Council says the break was cause by contractors working in the area, and water will be off for residents in the area for about four hours this afternoon.

Footage of the burst pipe and water spraying some distance, including well over the road and the Neal Howard Electrical roof, has been posted to social media.

It is the second major pipe burst in central Uralla in less than a month, following a major water main burst in late April.

More to come.
