Armidale’s Kay Endres named Northern Tablelands Woman of the Year

Armidale councillor Kay Endres has been named the 2026 Northern Tablelands Electorate Woman of the Year ahead of International Women’s Day.

Endres serves on Armidale Regional Council and contributes to the committees of multiple community organisations across the region.

She was a founding member of Tour de Rocks and now serves as its chair. The cycling event has raised more than $2.5 million for cancer research, prevention, and support.

Endres also helped establish the 19 for 19 Walk supporting Anya’s Wish.

“Congratulations Kay and thank you for all you do for the communities in the Northern Tablelands,” said Brendan Moylan, Northern Tablelands MP.

New England Travel echoed the sentiments.

“Congratulations to our very own Kay Endres on being named the 2026 Northern Tablelands Electorate Woman of the Year. Your dedication, leadership and commitment to your community is truly inspiring, Kay. This recognition is so well deserved,” they said.

“We are incredibly proud of you.”

The honour recognises women who make significant contributions to their communities and is awarded each year in the lead-up to International Women’s Day.
