Another Tamworth institution is stepping into a bold new chapter, with Premium Aged & Community Services (PACS) unveiling a refreshed brand as it marks an extraordinary milestone—2.1 million hours of care delivered to older Australians and veterans.
With its head office proudly based in Tamworth, PACS is one of the largest privately owned providers of in-home aged care in regional Australia. It has been supporting communities across New England, the Central Coast, and southern Queensland for more than 20 years.
Through essential programs including the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), Veterans’ Home Care (VHC), and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), PACS provides trusted, person-centred care that enables clients to remain safe and independent in their own homes. It also delivers Home Care Package (HCP) services on behalf of several larger home care organisations.
The announcement of the care milestone comes alongside a major brand refresh designed to reflect PACS’s evolution as a forward-thinking care provider. The move follows a number of rebranding announcements in the past year or so, the most significant of which was fellow community services provider TFSS rebranding as SORA.
“Reaching 2.1 million hours of care is more than a number—it represents the trust families place in us every day,” said Amanda Hawkins, Owner & Managing Director of PACS.
“It’s a reflection of the dedication of our team, the strength of our community partnerships, and our commitment to delivering care that is personal, respectful, and empowering. As we embrace this new chapter with a refreshed brand, we remain grounded in the values that have guided us from the beginning.”
The organisation recently completed an audit against the current Aged Care Quality Standards, achieving 100% compliance across all requirements.
With significant reforms to the sector on the horizon—including the introduction of a new Aged Care Act and strengthened Quality Standards in 2025—PACS has already begun preparing by reviewing its service model and governance.
“We know the sector is changing, and we’re doing the groundwork now to be ready,” Hawkins said. “Our team is focused, our systems are evolving, and our commitment to delivering care with heart and purpose remains as strong as ever.”
The refreshed PACS brand aims to position the organisation as a leader in the evolving aged care landscape, maintaining its roots in local communities while embracing the opportunities ahead.
PACS’s approach to care remains focused on supporting independence, safety, and quality of life—values it has upheld throughout its two-decade history, and ones it plans to carry forward under its new look.
