A massive line-up of musical talent has been announced for this year’s Big Chill Festival to be held on the 13th and 14th of May at the Armidale Sportsground.

More than seventy Birds of Tokyo tracks have featured on Triple J including ‘Good Lord’, ‘Two of us’, ‘Lanterns’, and I’d Go with You Anywhere’ making them one of the station’s three most-played artists of the millennium.  On 18 November the band released their latest single ‘Daylight’.

Legendary Auckland-formed rockers Dragon, who were inducted into the ARIA hall of fame in 2008 will perform on Sunday the 14th of May.  Perhaps best well known for their classic mega hits ‘April Sun in Cuba’ and ‘Are You Old Enough’, the purveyors of antipodean anthems of Australian rock have been performing their extensive back catalogue of material since their reformation in 2006.

The Armidale Big Chill Festival is a celebration of all that is beautiful and unique to the New England region.  Moving from Harris Park to the Armidale Sportsground for the first time, 2023 marks the third year the festival has been held and the event is quickly developing a reputation as an inventive, first-rate regional festival with the capacity to attract quality local and national talent.

Armidale is the perfect city to host a festival celebrating the change of seasons.  Bring your scarves, gloves and beanies and enjoy the weekend with family and friends sampling the local craft beers and boutique wines and enjoying succulent gourmet steak burgers around the glowing fire pits while you take in the world-class entertainment.

Further artist announcements are expected over the coming weeks.  Tickets can be purchased now through Eventbrite.  Limited tickets are available.
