Annual Human Rights Lecture 2026 – Australian Slavery
Dr James Cockayne is the first NSW Anti-slavery Commissioner. In this role, he works independently to strengthen the state’s response to modern slavery, forced labour and human trafficking. He has a particular focus on empowering survivors and strengthening government procurement and frontline responses.
