Five country music artists have today been announced as the 2027 Faces of the Festival for the Toyota 55th Tamworth Country Music Festival.
Adam Harvey, Amber Lawrence, Dear Tommie, Max Jackson and Robbie Mortimer will help promote the festival, which will be held from 15 to 24 January 2027. Representing different parts of the country music industry, the artists bring diverse audiences and connections to the festival.
Adam Harvey, who was inducted into the Australasian Roll of Renown in 2026, has attended the festival for the past 36 years.
“I am really honoured to be one of the faces of the Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2027.
โI just love the Festival and think it’s the most important 10 days of the year for any country music artist performing there.โ
Robbie Mortimer said the festival continued to play an important role in Australian country music.
“The Tamworth Country Music Festival is where so many country music dreams begin. Having grown up in regional NSW and being part of the next generation of country artists coming through, it’s an incredible honour to represent a festival that is the heartbeat of our industry.”
The 2027 festival will mark the event’s 55th year, with more than 700 artists from Australia and overseas expected to perform across venues throughout Tamworth.
The 2027 theme, Every Corner. Every Stage. Every Sound., reflects the scale of the festival and the variety of performances presented across the city.
Festival Executive Producer Peter Ross said the theme highlighted the breadth of the event.
โItโs often hard to explain just how large and diverse this Festival is, so this yearโs theme aims to educate new audiences and encourage them to come and experience a must-do bucket list item.โ
The 2027 festival will be Festival Manager Joel Ulbricht’s first in the role.
“Tamworth isn’t just a festival, it’s where the Australian country music story is written every January. From the youngest busker playing their first song to the biggest names in the industry, everyone shares the same corners, the same streets, and the same passion for country music. That’s something you simply won’t find anywhere else.”
The first round of programming includes headline performances by Lee Kernaghan and Troy Cassar-Daley at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre (TRECC), while the Toyota 55th Golden Guitar Awards will be held on the festival’s final Saturday.
The Town Hall, Capitol Theatre, Toyota Park, Wests Entertainment Group venues, The Pub Group venues, The Press Basement Bar, The Bluebird Room and The Listening Room will all present programs featuring established and emerging Australian and international artists.
Amber Lawrence said she was looking forward to representing the festival.
โItโs super exciting to be one of the Faces of the Festival, as I am so passionate about sharing how good the Tamworth Country Music Festival is.โ
โI reckon every single Australian needs to tick Tamworth Country Music Festival off their bucket list!โ
Entertainment Venues Manager Roz Pappalardo said the venue program reflected the diversity of country music.
โThis year’s lineup at Entertainment Venues has been curated to celebrate the incredible breadth of country music.
โI hope that this yearโs announce invites audiences to revisit old favourites, discover new music and experience the warmth, stories and community that make the Tamworth Country Music Festival unlike any other. Welcome to Entertainment Venues surprise pack!โ
Toyota Australia Chief Marketing Officer Vin Naidoo said the company was proud to continue its support of the festival.
โToyota Australia is a proud partner of the Tamworth Country Music Festival, and itโs a privilege to support this iconic event as it enters its 55th year.
โWhat makes Tamworth truly special is the way it brings every corner of the country together – from emerging artists finding their voice to household names who continue to shape the sound of Australia.
โToyota is committed to supporting Australian communities and the people who make them vibrant, and thereโs no better example of that spirit than Tamworth.โ
For the first time, the Toyota Park program has been announced in July, with opening weekend events to include the Opening Night Concert, Girls Night Out and the Toyota Star Maker Grand Final. New additions for 2027 include Bluegrass Hoedown and Friday Night Lights, while the Toyota Best of the Buskers Championships and the Country Gospel Experience will also return.
Max Jackson said she was pleased to again represent the festival.
โIโm really proud to once again be a TCMF Face of the Festival. TCMF in 2027 is gonna be the best and biggest one yet!โ
Dear Tommie said representing the festival was a personal milestone.
โAs the born and bred Tamworth artist – Iโm excited to share the culture and fly the flag for rural artists like myself. Consider me your new tour guide for all things country music and Tamworth heritage.โ
Ulbricht said Toyota Park would feature one of its strongest programs to date.
โToyota Park is shaping up to be one of our biggest and most diverse venues yet, with a bumper line-up that offers something for everyone. Weโre thrilled to welcome exciting new additions like Bluegrass Hoedown and Friday Night Lights. We canโt wait to see audiences experience it all.โ
The Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre (AELEC) will again host the ABCRA National Finals Rodeo, Xtreme Bulls and Broncs, with tickets to be released soon.
“For 55 years, the Tamworth Country Music Festival has been the heartbeat of Australia’s country music scene, and it’s not slowing down.” NSW Minister for Jobs and Tourism Steve Kamper said.
“Peel Street comes alive every January, the bars, the pubs, the clubs, the buzz you can’t get anywhere else in the country. The 2027 lineup proves once again why NSW does regional experiences better than anyone.”
Tickets for the first round of ticketed shows, including the Toyota 55th Golden Guitar Awards, go on sale on Thursday, 9 July. Additional free and ticketed events will be announced in the coming months.
