Regional telecommunications provider axxis will mark the first anniversary of its Narrabri store next week, following a year of local growth and customer uptake.
The store opened on 14 April 2025, adding to axxis’s regional footprint, which began in Dubbo in 1989 and now includes four locations across New South Wales.
To coincide with the anniversary, the business will host a community event at its Maitland Street premises on Tuesday evening. The program includes a short presentation on online safety, a prize draw for a fuel voucher, and light refreshments for attendees.
Company figures indicate the Narrabri outlet recorded more than 28,000 in-store visits over the past 12 months, supplied more than 2,100 new phones, and sold nearly 13,000 related products and accessories.
Founder Xander Peters said the store’s first year highlighted strong local engagement and demand for in-person support.
“What’s stood out over the past year is how quickly the Narrabri community has embraced our team,” he said. “We’re not just helping people with their phones — we’re having conversations about staying connected, staying safe online, and making technology work in everyday life.”
The event will be held at 147 Maitland Street from 5pm on Tuesday, 14 April. A presentation titled Stay Scam Safe in a Digital World is scheduled for 5.15pm, followed by the prize draw at 6pm.
Attendees must be present to claim the prize.
