The Bundarra Show is set to return in 2026, running over three big days from Friday, 30 January to Sunday, 1 February, promising a full program of competition, entertainment, and country hospitality as locals and visitors come together to celebrate one of the region’s most cherished annual events.

The Show Schedule for 2026 is now live on the Show Society’s website and promises another bumper year, showcasing the best of local agriculture, livestock, and rural skills, alongside a packed program of family-friendly attractions and pavilion exhibits. With competitions spanning livestock, horses, produce, cooking, crafts, and horticulture, the show continues its long-standing role as a showcase of regional talent and dedication.

President of the Bundarra Show Society, Peter Gregory, said the committee was especially excited to welcome back a crowd favourite, with the return of the rodeo for the first time in five years.

“We’re very excited to have the rodeo back this year after a five-year break,” Mr Gregory said. “It won’t be the big boys, but we’ll have mini bulls and steer riding, which we know will be a great hit with both competitors and spectators.”

Mr Gregory also wanted to emphasise that there is no BYO alcohol for the Rodeo event but there is an onsite bar available for attendees who wish to purchase drinks.

Livestock judging remains a cornerstone of the event, drawing competitors from across the district and highlighting the quality of breeding and stockmanship in the region. Horse events are also a major highlight, with a full schedule of ringside action expected to attract strong participation throughout the three-day event.

Another popular show staple, the Bundarra Ute Show, will keep the motor enthusiasts in the family happy. Kicking off at 12 pm, it finishes with the ever-entertaining barrel racing competition at 4 pm.

For something quieter, inside the pavilion, visitors will be able to view a wide range of exhibits, from home baking and preserves to needlework, art, photography, and school entries. These sections remain a favourite for many showgoers, offering a snapshot of the creativity and skills found throughout the Bundarra district.

Beyond the competitions, the showgrounds will be alive with entertainment, children’s activities, and classic show attractions, making it an easy day out for families across the weekend. Food stalls, trade displays, and sideshow fun will add to the atmosphere, while the relaxed country setting encourages visitors to linger and catch up with friends and neighbours.

Mr Gregory said entry each day is by gold coin donation.

“We’re very proud of our lineup this year – for a little town, it’s looking great, and we just want to keep growing it each year.”

He also added that, with the exception of food stall positions, which are all sold for this year, they’re still happily accepting other general stallholders, entries to all pavilion exhibits, and camping bookings for the showground.

The Bundarra Show Society is also mourning the loss of Honorary Life Member and long-serving volunteer Marie Harper, who dedicated decades of service to the organisation. A much-loved member of the Show Society community, Ms Harper’s contribution and commitment will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. A memorial service for Ms Harper was held in December last year.

As one of the district’s longest-running community events, the Bundarra Show remains a vital opportunity to celebrate rural life, support local producers and strengthen community connections. Organisers are encouraging residents and visitors alike to mark the dates and be part of a proud tradition that continues to bring the town together year after year.
