Inverell Gears Up for Two Big Nights of Late Night Shopping

Members of the Inverell Chamber of Commerce planning for Late Night shopping.

Inverell shoppers are invited to “shop ‘til you drop” with the exciting return of Late Night Shopping on the two Thursdays leading up to Christmas.

On Thursday 11 December and Thursday 18 December, many CBD stores will stay open late, offering extended trading hours and festive in-store experiences to make Christmas shopping in Inverell better than ever.

A fantastic range of boutiques and specialty stores will open their doors for the evenings, including Dixie Lane, Magnolia Home and Gift, Eclectic House, Clever Handmade Creations, Clover & Co Home, Bab’s Lorraine Hair and Fashion, Ellati, Funki Munki, D & G Jewellers and JD’s Footwear.
CBD favourites Ditton’s Pharmacy and Inverell Newsagency will also be open for shopper convenience.
Shoppers can look forward to plenty of festive surprises, with many stores offering
special treats and bonuses:
Clover & Co Home – complimentary light refreshments plus live performances by talented young Inverell singers.
Clever Handmade Creations – free candy canes for kids (and the kids at heart!).
Ellati – complimentary drinks for late-night customers.
Funki Munki – a free Carob Bear with every purchase after 6pm.
JD’s Footwear – a chance to win a $100 Gift Voucher with every shoe purchase.
D & G Jewellers – spend over $150 to pick a lucky envelope and win between $40 and $1000 in D & G Jewellery Dollars.
Inverell Furniture Court – complimentary charcuterie platters featuring Stanthorpe’s acclaimed Jamworks Gourmet Foods.
Print Anything & Hip Pocket Workwear – a fun Otho Street pop-up with lucky-dip giveaways.

Major retailers also have extended trading: Harvey Norman (open until 6pm on the 11th and 7pm on the 18th) and BIG W (open until 8pm both Thursdays).

Families can capture the magic with free DIY Santa photos until 8pm in the building next to ANZ. Donations are warmly welcomed, with all funds supporting Operation Operating Room to help purchase vital equipment for Inverell Hospital.

The second evening of late trading on Thursday 18 December will be even bigger, with additional stores joining in to stay open late, including The Premier Store, Bakers Barn Saddlery and Cutting Edge Country.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, The Inverell Singers choir will perform Christmas carols throughout the CBD—in Byron Street on Thursday 11 December, and in Evans Street on Thursday 18 December as part of the Art Gallery’s Christmas Artisan Markets.

These vibrant new Christmas markets offer local makers a platform to sell artisan foods, arts and crafts—plus a special visit from Santa.

Monique Krause, President of the Inverell Chamber of Commerce, said the events are a celebration of the town’s strong and beautifully curated retail community.

“We’re so fortunate to have such quality boutique stores in Inverell, where each store curates a shopping experience that makes – especially us women – a little weak at the knees,” Ms Krause said.
“We’re not a big corporate shopping centre. We’re a community supported by local families who own and operate most of our retail businesses. The dollars spent locally go directly into the heart of our town and keeps our CBD thriving. It’s been a tough year for many retailers, and I want our community to know how much their support truly matters.”

The Inverell Chamber of Commerce encourages everyone to shop local, enjoy the festive atmosphere, and make the most of these two special late-night Christmas shopping events.
