There are many events and celebrations happening for NYE across the region. For many, this will be the first New Year’s Eve celebrations unhindered by Covid 19 restrictions since 2019.

ARMIDALE

Armidale Regional Council are putting on New Year’s Eve Family Fireworks at Rologas Fields at 9pm. Fireworks will be over by 9.30pm. See more.

Of course one of the best places to view the fireworks is the rooftop of the Wicklow Hotel. They’re having their usual New Year’s event with live music from Fergus James between 6 and 10pm, and Buckeye and Teethy from 10.30pm to late. See more.

Armidale City Bowling Club have the legendary Pete Raymond DJing from 8pm and a pretty good vantage point for the fireworks at 9pm too. See more.

The St Kilda will have a disco from 9pm till late with free entry. See more.

ASHFORD

The Ashford Memorial Bowling Club is holding a cocktail party for New Years. Get there from 6PM for $13 cocktails, plus Prawn n Cheer raffles.

COPETON DAM

The kiosk on the northern foreshores of Copeton Dam will have live music and karaoke from 4pm to 10pm. The kiosk will close at 3pm but there will be a BBQ and cold drinks available from 4pm. See more.

DELUNGRA

The Delungra Memorial Bowling Club is cracking out the karaoke for their New Year’s festivities. See more.

DUNGOWAN

The Dungowan Hotel is holidng a fluro glow party from 4pm till late – where white clothes that you don’t mind getting ruined! See more.

EMMAVILLE

The Emmaville Panther Pub and Tattersalls Hotel have a big New Year’s party planned with live music from 4PM. Entry is free to the family friendly event. See more.

GUYRA

Armidale Regional Council are putting on New Year’s Eve Family Fireworks at the Guyra Recreation Ground at 9pm. Fireworks will be over by 9.30pm. For the uninitiated, tradition is to bring the family down with a picnic, blanket and chairs to watch the show. See more.

INVERELL

The Inverell RSM Club has entertainment planned from 8PM with live music from Bliss Bomb. Entry is free. See more.

Live music is also on offer at the Sporties with Denis Comino performing from 9pm. See more.

The Inverell Jockey Club is also holding New Year’s Day races starting from 12 midday on the 1st. See more.

NEMINGAH

The Nemingah Tavern, just north of Tamworth, is going for a family friendly options this New Year’s with a Disney themed fancy dressed night. Prizes for best dressed, face paining and Disney movies on the big screen out the back. $20 per child, starts at 6pm. See more

NUNDLE

The Peel Inn Hotel in Nundle is holding a NYE Party with DJ playing till late. See more.

TAMWORTH

Two bands and a DJ with free entry is on offer at the 80’s themed night Wests Leagues Club from 8.30pm to late: Heartland will be playing in the Legends Lounge, and Savage Groove and Party Train will be on stage in Blazes Showroom. See more.

Meanwhile at Wests Diggers, Kev Spencer will be performing live and free from 8.30pm. See more.

The Oxley Bowling Club is holding a Black and Gold Line Dancing Social starting from 7pm. Cost is $30 per dancer or $15 for children and non-dancers, includes a champagne toast. See more.

The Press Basement Bar are holding an Emo Night with a live cover band and DJ from 8pm til late. See more.

A free sausage sizzle is on offer at the Tamworth City Bowlo from 5pm until late – kids are welcome. See more.

The Southgate Inn has live music with Kiarra Ruttley from 6.30 plus raffles and $15 cocktail specials. See more.

The Family Hotel is holing a neon party with retro tunes, cocktail specials, and prizes for best and worst dressed. See more.

For something different, Pinot & Picasso are holding a Neon Nights: Cracker event where you can paint and sip under UV lights.Cost is $69, starts at 7pm. See more.

WEE WAA

The Cotton Cocktail New Years Party at the Wee Waa Golf club includes live music from Hurricane Fall and Leon Cunningham, plus DJ Bombz. Fireworks at midnight make this 18+ only event one of the best on offer, with buses from Narrabri, Spring Plans, Merah North and Burren Junction – seats on the buses are limited. See more.

WERRIS CREEK

The Werris Creek Sports Club are holding live entertainment upstairs for adults and an under 18s disco downstairs at the same time so the whole family can celebrate New Years. Starts at 7pm, tickets are $5. See more.
