Advertising support for local events and not-for-profits
The New England Times is proud to support the people, organisations and groups who make our region great. Through our advertising support program, we offer free or subsidised advertising to eligible not-for-profits, community groups, sporting groups, and local events.
There are two types of support available:
1. Advertising grant
We provide free advertising space — generally up to a value of $500 — for eligible community events, fundraisers, awareness campaigns, and initiatives run by not-for-profit, community or sporting groups. This may include:
- Website display ads
- Social media promotion
- Mentions in our newsletter
Limited slots are available each month. Applications are reviewed as they are received.
2. Media partnership / event sponsorship
We offer media partnership support in exchange for being listed as a media sponsor for your event. In return, we can provide:
- Display advertising at your event
- Online event coverage
- Social media promotion
- Newsletter features
This option is ideal for larger or ongoing events that align with our mission to serve the New England region. As a general rule, the value of advertising and other promotion provided is relative to the size of the event and the sponsorship promotion opportunities provided in kind.
Who can apply?
- Local events, community or sporting groups, or organisations based in the New England region (NSW)
- Registered charities, not-for-profit organisations, or community-led initiatives
- National registered charities may also apply for support for awareness and fundraising activities relevant to the New England community
- Applications must be submitted at least three weeks before the event to ensure sufficient time for advertising to be created and delivered.
