Free flu clinic to support Tamworth community this season

TAMS-AC Tamworth will host another free flu vaccination clinic later this month, encouraging Aboriginal people and the wider community to protect themselves ahead of the peak flu season.

The clinic will run from 9am to 12pm on Saturday, 23 May, at TAMS-AC, 180 Peel Street, Tamworth.

Free flu vaccinations will be available, along with the FluMist nasal spray for eligible children who would prefer a needle-free option. Community members attending the clinic can also ask staff about the service’s VR headset program.

Transport assistance is available for people who need help getting to the clinic and can be booked by calling TAMS-AC.

“Aboriginal people are strongly encouraged to attend. Everyone is welcome. You do not need to be a TAMS‑AC patient. ” said TAMS-AC.

The clinic is part of ongoing efforts to keep mob and the broader Tamworth community healthy during flu season.
