Overnight roadworks to affect New England Highway traffic in Tamworth

Motorists in Tamworth and Hillvue are advised of changed overnight traffic conditions this weekend on the New England Highway between Craigends Lane and Jack Smyth Drive for maintenance work.

Tamworth Regional Council will carry out the work on behalf of Transport for NSW, including bitumen resurfacing along the busy stretch of highway.

To reduce disruption for local traffic, the work will take place overnight on Sunday 15 March from 7pm to 6am. The work is expected to be completed in one night, weather permitting.

Traffic control will be in place while the work is carried out, including a single-lane closure, portable traffic control devices and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h to ensure the safety of workers and road users.

Motorists travelling through the area are advised to allow extra travel time, drive to conditions and follow the directions of signage and traffic controllers.
