Moree woman finds $100k under the Chrissie tree

A Moree woman had a Christmas she’ll never forget, unwrapping a $100,000 Lucky Lotteries prize on a ticket given to her by her parents.

The local player held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 11053, drawn Wednesday 24 December 2025. She collected $100,000.00.

The winning entry was purchased at the Balo Square Newsagency in Moree.

Speaking to an official from The Lott, the winning woman explained her family’s tradition of gifting each other lottery tickets on special occasions.

“This was actually a Christmas present from my parents,” she said.

“It got it Christmas morning, but I was too busy to look at it until lunchtime on Christmas Day.

“We often give each other lottery tickets – for Christmas and birthdays.

“When I first pulled out the ticket, you think there’s not a chance in hell you’re going to win.

“It was a bit of a shock! I had to scan it again and again to be sure.

“It made for a great Christmas and will help pay off the mortgage.”

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes. Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $20.32 million for draw 1750, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $2.45 million for draw 11055.
