Families across Tamworth are invited to dive into the Christmas spirit at a free community pool party hosted by Centacare New England North West on Friday, 12 December 2025. The event will run from 4pm to 6pm at Scully Pool, Tamworth and promises an afternoon of fun, food and connection for all ages.
Ryan Witherdin, Acting Wellbeing Team Leader at Centacare NENW, said the event is designed as a simple, enjoyable way for locals to come together during a busy time of year.
“The pool party is a free event for our community where family and friends can come together to enjoy each other’s company, celebrate Christmas and discover the many ways Centacare can support the community,” he said.
Along with free entry to the pool during event hours, families will be treated to an array of activities and festive treats.
“Guests can look forward to free entry to the pool between 4 and 6pm, fun activities, free sausage sizzle, Zooper Doopers, popcorn, fairy floss, and lollies from Santa,” Mr Witherdin said.
While the focus is on fun, the event is also an opportunity for residents to learn more about the services Centacare provides across the region. Staff will be available throughout the afternoon to answer questions and introduce community members to programs that may benefit them or someone they know.
“Alongside the celebrations, Centacare will be showcasing the programs and services available to the community, offering information and guidance on how they can assist,” he said.
Registration is free and easy, and organisers are encouraging families to sign up ahead of time if possible. Registration is online.
As the end of the year approaches, the pool party aims to create a relaxed, welcoming environment where people can pause, connect and enjoy the simple joy of spending time together. Whether families are stopping by for a swim, a sausage sandwich or a chat with Centacare staff, the event promises a warm and festive atmosphere.
