Free green waste disposal for Tamworth residents after storms

Tamworth residents will be able to dispose of green waste free of charge following the severe storms that swept through the city on Tuesday afternoon.

To assist with the clean-up effort, Tamworth Regional Council will waive fees for residents dropping off household green waste at the Forest Road Waste Management Facility.

The free service will be available for 11 days, from Thursday 27 November to Sunday 7 December.

The offer applies only to self-hauled, residential green waste. Commercial loads and waste delivered by businesses are not eligible. The service is limited to the Forest Road facility, where Council is equipped to manage the expected volume.
