On Tuesday, 28 October 2025, the Inverell Club will host Regional Pathways to Possibility, a networking and showcase event aimed at strengthening connections across the local disability sector. The event, organised by Brighter Access, brings together disability service providers, NDIS participants, carers, support coordinators and community members to explore opportunities, share information, and foster partnerships.
From 9:30 am through to 12:30 pm, the event offers a unique “speed-networking” format where attendees are invited to spend short, focused time at each table to engage directly with service providers.
Laini Kirkman, Marketing and Communications Coordinator for Brighter Access is very excited to bring this new event to the Inverell community.
“This is going to be such a great opportunity, not only for people in the community to meet and connect with service providers, but also for the service providers to connect and network and maybe even see where the gaps are in what people in Inverell need,” she said.
“The idea is that each service provider will host a table, and then people can register for free to attend and every 7 minutes a bell will ring, and then they change tables to the next provider.”
“This gives people the chance to really find out what each service provider actually does – we find the issue isn’t that people don’t know that the service providers are out there, more that they don’t know what they actually offer.”
This is a valuable opportunity for local providers to showcase services, introduce new programs, and raise visibility among NDIS participants and their support networks.
In addition to meaningful conversations and relationship-building, the event features a light-hearted competitive element: attendees will be eligible for a lucky door prize, while table hosts vie for a best decorated table award.
“We really wanted to be able to give back to the community, Brighter Access has it’s roots in Inverell as it was started here by local families in 1979. We’re very grateful for the support from Inverell Shire Council to be able to offer some fantastic prizes – the lucky door prize is $200,” said Ms Kirkman.
All profits from ticket sales to providers will be donated to three local charities, meaning the event’s benefits will extend across the region.
“The local charities will be decided on and announced on the day so that’s another little bit of added excitement for the event,” said Ms Kirkman.
Table hosting is just $100 per provider, and Ms Kirkman says are there just 3 tables left.
“We’ve been really blown away by the support from local providers so far – we’ve got a really incredible range so it’s going to be a really wonderful way for the community to get to know the people behind these services,” said Ms Kirkman.
Community attendance is completely free, but registration is essential (and gets you in for a chance to win the lucky door prize!). Registration is via the Event Brite website.
This initiative offers a promising platform for regional parts of the disability network to come together — share knowledge, build stronger service ecosystems, and ultimately open new pathways to possibility for community members in the Inverell region and beyond.
