New England Times has launched a new Advertising Support Program to help not-for-profits, community groups, sporting clubs, and local event organisers promote their initiatives across the region.
The program provides two forms of support: advertising grants, where worthy groups are gifted advertising for a specific purpose, and media partnerships, where New England Times is listed as a media sponsor in exchange for promotional coverage. Both options aim to make it easier for grassroots organisations across the New England to raise awareness, increase engagement, and drive attendance at their events.
Raphaella Kathryn Crosby, publisher of New England Times, said the initiative expands on the publication’s commitment to serving the community.
“New England Times exists to unite and connect the community,” Dr Crosby said.
“To date, we have largely focused on supporting local businesses through our Best in the New England promotion, free business directory, and similar initiatives.
“Now, we’re able to support the community more broadly by helping not-for-profits and local organisers get the word out about the important work they do.”
Still a young news outlet having launched in 2023, New England Times is proud to have established itself and is now the second-largest news website in the New England region, having earned the loyalty of tens of thousands of readers. The publication is known for its commitment to real news, local issues, political coverage, and investigative journalism, with a strong focus on matters that directly impact communities of the New England.
“Whether we’re doing an investigation on the serious issues no one wants to talk about but must be dealt with, or celebrating a local doing something awesome, everything New England Times does all has the same goal: a happier, healthier, stronger New England,” Dr Crosby said.
“These new advertising grants is just one more way we can do that.”
In addition to the new support program, New England Times has recently introduced several new features, including New England Times Engage, a dedicated opinion and comment hub for diverse local voices and discussion of issues across the New England and beyond. A regional events calendar has also been added to the main site to help residents discover what’s happening across the region.
The Advertising Support Program is open to organisations and groups based in the New England region, as well as national registered charities undertaking fundraising or awareness campaigns relevant to the area. Applications can be submitted at any time, but must be received at least three weeks prior to the event date. Places are limited.
