Tamworth Business Chamber is looking to crown the best of the best at this year’s Quality Business Awards held on Friday 8 September 2023 at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment & Conference Centre (TRECC).

Judging opened this week and closes August 9 with 60 judges engaged, two minimum per category, looking see who is trailblazing in their industry.

“Businesses can accept their nomination up until July 14,” said Bryan O’Connor, Executive Officer Tamworth Business Chamber.

“Nominations are tracking well with over 1,000 currently, with nominations for businesses large and small across the board, with a wide range businesses and industries.”

Tamworth Business Chamber are encouraging people if they have had great service or a great experience, name them and nominate.

“Support local business and show their support for local staff,” said Bryan.

“Staff are the front line in customer service and employees are the backbone of business.”

“The awards allow a business owner to take note, assess what they are doing right and work on their business instead of in their business.”

“Businesses love to be nominated and display their nominated, finalist and winner stickers on their shop front doors.”

How do I nominate?

There are three ways to nominate:

  • By the QR Code on flyers
  • Via the business Chamber web site at www.tamworth.org.au
  • Via Phone – As support to those without smart phones and computers, you can phone the chamber.

“The phone option has been especially well supported by the older people in the community and this service has been appreciated.” Said Bryan.

This year Tamworth Business Chamber has moved away from hard copy nominations.

“Because of COVID there were way too many people handling the documents, up to 6 people were handling hard copy nominations by the time it was entered; collected from barrels, sorted by staff, and then input into the awards online system administratively and this was just not healthy.”

“QR code is fast, simple, and effective – same as online at the Chamber web site and we welcomed phone in nominations,” said Bryan.

Tickets to the awards night will be on sale from Monday 31 July. The 2022 awards were a sell-out and tickets are limited this year, so anyone wishing to purchase tickets is urged to do so as early as possible. To purchase tickets, visit www.tamworth.org.au.
