The favourite day of the year for those that love locally made, high quality products is just over a month away, with the Seasons of New England Expo on Saturday March 25.

The Seasons of New England Expo is now in its tenth year, showcasing the region’s best local produce, wine, food, art, and handmade products. Started by Tara Toomey, the beloved event has spawned an online store and a physical retail store in the main street of Uralla, as well as a hamper business, an outlet concept stand at Heresville, an annual workshop weekend, and a growing dining experience business.

The Expo is a must-do event for most of the region. Starting at 9am at the Uralla Showgrounds on King Street, there is plenty to do, see, and most importantly, eat. Over 120 New England based makers, creators and producers will be there, coming from Tamworth to Tenterfield, Inverell to Dorrigo.

Kids can visit the free kids tent where there will be a range of fun activities, with the opportunity to make something they can take home. This year each participant will also get a free Ken Done postcard thanks to support from the Ken Done Art Gallery.

A foodies dream of local food and drinks, including New England sausages made with local beer, homemade gourmet pies, gourmet burgers, haloumi chips, smoked trout, Thai satay, Italian sodas, lemonade, apple juice, and graze plates is on offer. There will be a range of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options available.

Those with a sweet tooth can enjoy local treats such as nougat, caramel, jams, cordial, pastries, handmade confectionary, and gorgeous cakes. The Walcha Coffee & Herd Bar will serve real coffee, as well as teas, chai and hot chocolates. The Seasons Bar will be open from 10am-9.30pm.

The full line up of entertainment for the day is still to be finalised, but there will be live music all day from 9am, with 2022 Starmaker Winner Max Jackson one of the confirmed highlights.

A new attraction this year will be The Expo After Party, where the crowds regroup to enjoy more great food, the Seasons bar and superb live music.  Iconic Australian band The Badloves with special guests King Canyon, with lead singer Jimmy Cupples will be supported by great New England artists from 5pm.

Entry is $5 for adults and free for 14yrs and under, with tickets available at the gate.  BYO chair is also welcome.

Updates to the event information will be posted on the Seasons of New England Expo Facebook and Instagram pages. A full list of vendors participating in the expo is available in the Seasons Directory.
