Farmers for Climate Action are asking for donations this Christmas so they can keep providing farmers with free ‘Farmers for Climate Action’ farm gate signs.

In a year that has been meteorologically brutal for many farmers, the organisation is making the case that “all farmers want for Christmas is climate action”, and appealing for donations to buy a farmer a sign. $20 covers the cost of making and delivering the sign to another farmer.

Fundraising Director for Farmers for Climate Action Kitty Walker says the signs a very impactful.

“Our CEO Fiona Davis was in Canberra speaking with MPs about what farmers want to see in a national climate change and agriculture policy and many mentioned the visibility of Famers for Climate Action signs in their electorates and along the roads leading to Parliament House.”

“Essentially we’re trying to raise as much as we can this Christmas so that Farmers for Climate Action can continue to provide our signs to farmers for free across the country.”

“As an added bonus, the campaign has prompted a boost in farmers lodging orders for signs which is fantastic – we’re loving seeing pictures of our signs coming through across Australia,” Ms Walker said.

Farmers can order the signs or car stickers for free through the Farmers for Climate Action website.

Farmers for Climate Action are the only farmer-led movement working to influence Australia to adopt strong climate policies. They do this by growing the number of farmers, regional communities and elected representatives championing ambitious climate action.
