Armidale region’s Australia Day Awards acknowledge unsung heroes in our community who through their contributions make our region a better place. The awards will be presented at this special event.
The following awards will be announced:
- Community services award
- Sport person of the year award
- Art, drama, or music award
- Environmental citizen/group of the year
- Community group of the year
- Community event of the year
- Young citizen of the year
- Senior/elder citizen of the year, and the 2026 Citizen of the Year.
Armidale region’s next Citizenship Ceremony will also be held at this event. The whole community is invited to celebrate with them!
The Australia Day Awards in Armidale are proudly presented by Armidale Regional Council and administered by the Mayor, Sam Coupland. In Guyra the Australia Day Awards are managed by the Guyra Australia Day Committee. This year’s Australia Day Ambassador will be confirmed before the date!
