Just 40 minutes east of Tamworth, the picturesque village of Nundle is once again set to host Nundle Rocks, a three-day celebration of alternative country, folk and roots music, curated by the team at Dashville.
Held over the Australia Day long weekend, Nundle Rocks 2026 will take place from Friday January 23 to Sunday January 25, bringing more than 25 artists to the region for a boutique live music experience in the heart of Kamilaroi country.
Set against the historic backdrop of Nundle’s gold mining past, and staged in the beautifully air-conditioned Nundle Memorial Hall, the event invites music lovers to escape the long weekend crowds for a laid-back musical getaway surrounded by hills, heritage, and hospitality.
Line-up highlights
The 2026 line-up includes internationally acclaimed US singer-songwriter Tim Easton, and fellow American artist Brea Burns, alongside homegrown folk-country favourites Felicity Urquhart & Josh Cunningham.
Also performing are acclaimed troubadour JB Paterson, 2024 AFMA winners The High Street Drifters, blues legend Col Ray Price, and Indigenous storyteller Warren Mason.
They’ll be joined by a host of Dashville favourites and rising stars, including Dank Hank & The Hot Ones, Johnston City, Magpie Diaries, Dave Wells, Georgie Winchester, Kingsley James & The Forest Keepers, and CJ Stranger, among many others.
In keeping with tradition, local favourites The Nundle Nugget Hunters will close out Sunday night with their famously raucous set.
