Changed traffic conditions – New England Highway, Blandford

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on the New England Highway at Blandford, 7km south of Murrurundi, with road maintenance works commencing this week.

Transport for NSW will undertake resurfacing works, including the removal and replacement of the existing road surface and road markings, aimed at improving driving conditions along this section of the highway.

Work is scheduled to begin on Thursday, 6 November, and will be carried out Monday to Friday, from 7am to 5pm, for approximately three weeks, weather permitting.

During this period, single-lane closures, traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place to ensure the safety of workers and road users.

Over Size and Over Mass (OSOM) vehicles will need to use UHF channel 21 to coordinate escorted passage through the work zone.

Motorists are reminded to drive to the conditions, obey signage and follow instructions from traffic controllers.
