The much-anticipated Adventure Moto Dirty Weekend returns for 2025, promising two days of roaring engines, rugged camaraderie, and unforgettable adventure across the rustic expanse of Green Valley Farm, just outside Tingha.
Set for September 13 to 14, the Dirty Weekend remains the original and by far the largest adventure riding event in Australia. And its more than just a riding fest- it’s a celebration, bringing motor enthusiasts together to ride, rumble, and reconnect.
Green Valley Farm plays a starring role. Situated at 161 Jones Road, Tingha, this family-operated tourist park offers campers rustic yet comfortable accommodation, complete with cooked dinners, hearty breakfasts, hot showers, camp kitchens, and even a licensed bar for a much-earned cold one after a big day on the trails.
Keeping that community spirit going, the farm features kitschy attractions like the Smiths Museum, mini-putt, animal walk-about, including wombats, baby kangaroos, and the famously curious six-legged cow.
“It’s always such a great weekend, last year we had about 300 people and we expect about the same this year.” said Kathy Vickery from Green Valley Farm.
“It’s a huge few days for us and we rope in all the friends and family we can to help out but it’s so worth it because they’re just such a lovely group every year.”
Entry to the Dirty Weekend events is free. The only costs are for camping (which comes with dinner and breakfast), and meal tickets are available for those not staying overnight. Options range from $55 for Saturday night only, up to $120 for three nights, with day-only access or dinner tickets starting from around $10 to $35. Registration is seamless: call or email Green Valley Farm directly- your lodging booking automatically registers you for the event.
“We always try to keep the weekend affordable- part of the adventure is getting here and back and coming out to a rural property, and we know that all the little local towns and pubs do really well out of the visitors as well,” said Ms Vickery.
This year’s Dirty Weekend is loaded with action. The Enduro Loop, led by local trail experts, takes riders through mixed private and public terrain, but spots are limited and require on-site registration by 3 p.m. Friday.
For those looking to hone their technique, Llewelyn Pavey from Brake Magazine will host free Fundamentals mini-classes tailored to both beginners and seasoned riders.
The Adventure Challenge Motokhana remains the weekend’s centerpiece: a technical riding competition open to all, with creative categories and proud bragging rights. Expect awards for men’s and women’s winners, oldest rider, youngest rider, newest bike brought to the event, and even most kilometres on the clock.
“The Motokhana is definitely the most popular event,” said Ms Vickery.
“And they always have the most incredible prizes to give away!”
Beyond the riding, Dirty Weekend draws a vibrant display of industry partners and giveaways- prize value exceeds $30,000, with backing from sponsors such as Adventure Moto, Ride ADV, Pirelli, MX-Store, Ultimate Adventure Moto NZ, and Roaming Horizons.
For the adventure seeker, Dirty Weekend offers more than just rough-and-ready fun: it’s a chance to disconnect from the daily grind and connect with your two-wheel tribe under the open skies of Green Valley Farm.
