Good news for New England travellers, the Oxley Highway at Mount Seaview will reopen to traffic on Friday 13 June from 4:30pm.
The road will be reopened with a 60km/h reduced speed limit and sections of single lane, alternating traffic flow arrangements.
Scheduled road closures for ongoing restoration work will resume from Tuesday 17 June, and will be extended to the end of November 2025, weather permitting.

The new closure point is between Forbes River Road, Yarras and Fenwicks Road (18 kilometres east of Yarrowitch).
The scheduled road closure days and times are:
- Every Tuesday to Thursday from 7am to 4:30pm
- Every Friday from 7am to 3pm.
The road will remain open outside these hours Tuesdays to Fridays and on weekends, Mondays, school holidays and public holidays.
Transport for NSW encourages motorists to plan their trips around these closures, avoid the area during work hours and defer travel if possible.
