Royal Life Saving will run a series of first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and pool lifeguard courses in Tamworth over the weekend of Saturday, February 14, and Sunday, February 15.
The Perform First Aid course provides participants with the essential skills and knowledge needed to respond to a wide range of first aid situations, including life-threatening emergencies. The course is suitable for workplace compliance, personal development or anyone seeking the confidence to provide immediate and effective first aid. It includes the Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) qualification.
The Royal Life Saving Pool Lifeguard course is a nationally recognised qualification focused on supervising safety in aquatic recreation facilities and managing water-based rescues and emergencies. With many pools currently experiencing a shortage of qualified lifeguards, successful participants are well placed to secure employment. The Department of Education has also placed greater emphasis on staff holding this qualification when leading water-based activities.
A Pool Lifeguard Update course will also be offered for qualified lifeguards required to complete their annual update to maintain accreditation.
