The Wiggles are heading back to Tamworth, bringing one of the most recognisable names in children’s entertainment to the city once again as part of the 2026 Tamworth Country Music Festival celebrations.
After lighting up the Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2025, The Wiggles will return on Sunday 25 January with their Tree of Wisdom Big Show Spectacular at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre.
The all-singing, all-dancing production is being billed as the group’s biggest and brightest show yet, with bubbles, lights, DJ Dorothy dance parties and plenty of audience participation from start to finish. Fans can expect much-loved classics including Fruit Salad Yummy Yummy, Rock-A-Bye Your Bear and Hot Potato, alongside newer songs that have quickly become favourites with young audiences.
With an 11am start time, the show is designed for families, whether it is a child’s first live concert experience or part of a long-running Wiggles tradition. Organisers say the return to Tamworth reflects the city’s growing reputation as a festival destination for audiences of all ages.
The Tamworth performance comes as The Wiggles continue to expand the world of their newest breakout character, the Tree of Wisdom. Following a viral rise in popularity and a successful arena tour in 2025, the character will star in a brand-new series launching on ABC Kids and ABC iview from 5 January.
The Tree of Wisdom shorts feature musical comedy adventures, playful movement and familiar songs, with episodes encouraging children to sing, dance and join in at home. The launch follows the release of The Tree of Wisdom album, which charted strongly in Australia during 2025.
Dominic Field, who plays the Tree of Wisdom, said the character was designed to spark imagination and fun for children and families. “Whether you’re watching and singing along, dancing at a Bush Doof, or dressing up like me, there’s a little bit of forest fun for everyone,” he said.
The Wiggles’ enduring popularity was further underlined this year when they secured the top spot as Australia’s number one local artist on Spotify Wrapped 2025, highlighting their appeal across generations.
