Wiggles to return as ramp up to TCMF26 continues

Venue seats are filling and campsites are being claimed as the ramp up to the Toyota 54th Tamworth Country Music Festival 2026 begins.

Returning to the Country Music Capital for a second year in a row is The Wiggles. Earlier this year, The Wiggles launched their first country-album which featured collaborations with a number of Tamworth Country Music Festival artists like Troy Cassar-Daley, The Wolfe Brothers and Travis Collins, just to name a few. The group have now revealed a new chapter, celebrating the wildly popular character The Tree of Wisdom, who has taken over the internet, with his signature “dance like no-ones watching” routines.

The Wiggles will end their Tree of Wisdom Big Show Arena Spectacular National Tour in Tamworth and close out the festival with one-show only at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre (TRECC) on Sunday 25 January.

Kasey Chambers will also return to Tamworth Town Hall in next years festival, after a year of touring her new album, Backbone, in Australia and the USA in 2025. Tania Kernaghan and Jason Owen will take to the Capitol Theatre stage, Nashville based Bluegrass Queen Kristy Cox returns with Bluegrass Comes to Tamworth at The Blue Bird Room, while Taylor Moss, Tori Forsyth, Hayley Jensen & Tyla Rodrigues will, together, bring a new show Her Sound, Her Story to life.

Festival Executive Producer Peter Ross says anticipation is already building for another huge festival.

“The Toyota 54th Tamworth Country Music Festival features a diverse line up of artists and shows, with something for every audience.”

“It’s wonderful to see so many returning artists in the line-up, along with many new names,” he said.

“For more than five decades Tamworth has welcomed some of the nation’s biggest country music stars and given emerging artists a platform to take their music career to the next level.”

A mix of Star Maker winners, long-time returning talent, and alternate country artists can be found in The Bluebird Room, inside the Tamworth Community Event Centre. Artists in the curated line-up include; Dear Tommie, Melody Moko, Colin Buchanan, Jayne Denham, Brendon Walmsley,

The Listening Room, a new addition to the Tamworth Community Event Centre, will see its debut in 2026 featuring Vincent & Vincent, The Brendans, Felicity Dowd, Gavin Chatelier and Stories In Song. Inspired by the iconic listening rooms of Nashville, The Bluebird Room and The Listening Room, are dedicated to showcasing a line-up of Australia’s finest emerging and established country artists in intimate, up-close settings.

Adding to the Capitol Theatre line-up is The All-American Honky Tonk Reboot and Birds of a Feather featuring Goldheist, Jane A Naoi, Melissa Fraser, Brookie Gillett, Amy Vee, Anna Weatherup, Belinda Day and Katy Wren.

Festival favourites, 19-Twenty & local girl made good, Roshani join the Tamworth Town Hall in a double bill styled line-up, along with Classic Women of Country Show and That’s Where The Faith Comes In – A Country Gospel Show hosted by Kristy Cox, featuring Aleyce Simmonds, Dean Perrett, Courtney Keil & special guests.

Wests Entertainment Group has added to its festival line-up across West Tamworth League Club and Wests’ Diggers venues. Artists and shows include Y.O.G.A, Chocolate Starfish, Darren Carr, Hurricane Fall, Hayley Jensen, Haystack Mountain Hermits, Troy Cassar-Daley’s alter-ego Tex Dubbo, and a number of tribute shows.

Tamworth local and 2023 Star Maker Winner Loren Ryan will headline her own show at The Press Basement Bar. Outlaw Legends, a show celebrating ‘rebels who redefined country music’, will also return to The Press. While Matt Scullion will appear at the Tamworth Golf Club.

A number of key artists join The Pub Group’s line-up including Jem Cassar-Daley (daughter of Troy), Jake Whittaker (Australian Idol Top 6 Finalist), along with A Mob of Golden Guitar Greats, who will all perform at Moonshiners. The Pub will also host The Pub’s Charity Concert for Ronald McDonald House and Tamworth Songwriters’Association Awards.

Golden Guitar Award winner Sara Storer is set to perform at The Longyard. The venue will also host the Viper Creek Band, The Wet Whistles, the annual Country Under the VinesBush Poets Breakfast Show and Line Dancing with Chris Watson.

Toyota FanZone applications are now open and available on the TCMF website. The iconic stage returns in 2026 and will feature a jam-packed line-up of more than 200 artists across the 10-day festival. Toyota FanZone offers festival-goers the opportunity to see their favourite country music artists for free, in a close and personal setting.
