Glen Innes’ hospital upgrade is a go, after Glen Innes Severn Council welcomed $50 million as part of the state governments 2025–26 NSW Budget announced this week.
The funding was confirmed by Member for Northern Tablelands Brendan Moylan, who has secured approximately $252 million in additional investment for the electorate.
The Glen Innes Hospital upgrade is one of several major health projects continuing under this Budget. Mayor Margot Davis said the announcement offers reassurance to the Glen Innes Severn community, which has been eager to see progress on the long-promised upgrade.
“I welcome the NSW Government’s confirmation of funding to complete the first stage of the hospital redevelopment, and we will continue to advocate for the additional funding needed to deliver the full master plan.” Mayor Davis said.
“This is a critical project for our community, and we are keen to see construction commence as is our community.”
Mayor Davis said Council would continue to advocate for investment that strengthens local health services and supports the wellbeing of residents across the Glen Innes Severn community.
